The Bark & Buoy
The Bark & Buoy – a new pet store in Greenville – is very much a family affair for Meg Erber. Her 9-year-old daughter Adee came up with the business idea, husband Vince is the CFO (“Chief Fetch Officer”), daughter Courtney took a week’s leave from the U.S. Navy in California to help set up and daughter Kaely is painting exuberant pet-themed murals for the store.
“We‘ve always had dogs so we understand how people love their pets,” said Meg. “When we moved to Greenville, we didn’t see anything like this available. We believe it’s the perfect place for a pet store, especially with all the hiking and outdoor adventures around here.”
Aiming for a mid-June opening, The Bark & Buoy will offer products and services for dogs and cats including:
· All types of food and treats, probiotics, apparel, harnesses, and other merchandise.
· Daytime doggy daycare.
· A self-service dog washing station and more.
As the “mom” to two dogs (Luna, a boxer, and Ozzie, a Bijou-Shih Tzu mix) and a calico cat (Penny), Meg understands how to care for animals and help them thrive. After relocating to Moosehead Lake from South Jersey, she and Vince know their
